Lighting That Adapts to Your Day
Your Loxone home tracks sunrise, sunset, and who's in each room. Lights come on when you walk in and switch off when you leave. Morning light is cool and energising. Evening light is warm and relaxing. Watching a film? The lights dim and blinds close automatically. Having a dinner party? One tap sets the perfect mood. You stop thinking about light switches — your home handles it.
- Lights follow you from room to room based on presence sensors
- Automatic scenes shift throughout the day — morning, afternoon, evening
- One-touch moods for cinema, dining, entertaining, and relaxation
- Works with any light source — LED spots, pendants, architectural fixtures

Tree, Air & Link
New build or existing home —both are straightforward.
Loxone runs on three technologies. Which one you need depends on whether we can pull cable or not.
Loxone Tree
For new builds. A single slim cable carries both data and power to up to 50 devices per branch, with cable runs up to 500 metres. Less cabling than traditional wiring, faster installation, and rock-solid reliability.
Loxone Air
For retrofits. Purpose-built wireless protocol (not WiFi) that connects up to 128 devices without any new cabling. Bidirectional communication, military-grade encryption, and mesh networking for thick-wall coverage.
Loxone Link
The backbone that connects Extensions to the Miniserver. Need more relay outputs, dimmer channels, or DALI lighting interfaces? Add an Extension via Loxone Link. Up to 30 per Miniserver.
Retrofitting an occupied house
No chasing walls and no replastering. The Miniserver Go Gen 2 runs up to 128 wireless Air devices, Nano modules hide behind the switches you already have, and Touch Pure Air panels are battery-powered. A typical three-bed retrofit takes three to five days.
Building or renovating
We specify Tree cabling at first-fix and work to your electrician's and builder's programme. One slim cable per branch replaces the usual bundle of switch drops, so there is less cable in the walls, not more.
The Rest Of It
The parts people forgetto ask about.
Touch Pure Controls
iF Design Award-winning glass panels that replace your light switches. Five intuitive touch points control lighting, blinds, and music. Built-in temperature, humidity, and CO2 sensors monitor your room climate. Available in white and anthracite with a customisable backlight colour.
The Loxone App
Control your entire home from your phone — or don't, because Loxone automates most things for you. Check energy usage, unlock doors, adjust scenes, see who is at the intercom, and monitor room climate. Now with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
DoorBird Video Intercom
The intercom we pair with Loxone when you want the picture inside the Loxone App itself. Live view and snapshots of whoever is at the door, two-way audio from your phone anywhere in the world, and remote unlock for deliveries — with the door event available to trigger a welcome scene.
Water Protection
Battery-powered Water Sensors with up to 10 years of battery life detect leaks instantly and alert you via the app. Can automatically shut off the mains water supply to prevent costly flood damage.
Apple HomeKit & Siri
Native Apple HomeKit support means you can use Siri, the Apple Home app, and Apple Watch alongside the Loxone App. "Hey Siri, set cinema mode" — done.
Wallbox EV Charger
The Loxone Wallbox charges your electric vehicle intelligently. Five charging modes let you prioritise solar energy, off-peak rates, or full-speed charging. Fully integrated with energy management — no separate app needed.
The Difference
Why this, and nota drawer full of apps.
True Automation, Not Remote Control
Most "smart homes" are just remote controls — you press buttons on your phone instead of the wall. Loxone automates up to 50,000 actions per year based on who's home, what time it is, and what the weather's doing. Your home thinks for itself.
One System, Not Ten Apps
A typical "smart home" uses separate apps for lights, heating, audio, blinds, alarm, and cameras. With Loxone, everything is controlled from one app — or better yet, fully automated so you rarely need the app at all.
Local, Not Cloud
When your internet drops, Alexa stops working. Loxone keeps working perfectly because everything is processed locally inside your home. Response times are under 1ms. Your data never leaves your property.
Buy Once, Own Forever
No monthly subscriptions. No premium tiers. No cloud fees. Free firmware updates add new features for the life of the system. Loxone hardware is industrial-grade, built to last 10+ years. European quality, made in Austria.

Questions
Loxone,answered honestly.
What exactly is Loxone?
Loxone is an Austrian-engineered smart home system that automates lighting, climate, shading, audio, security, energy, and access control from one central brain called the Miniserver. Unlike systems that rely on the cloud (Alexa, Google Home), Loxone processes everything locally inside your home — making it faster, more reliable, and completely private. Over 260,000 Loxone projects have been completed worldwide.
How much does a Loxone smart home cost in London?
A starter system for a 2-3 bed London flat typically costs £8,000-£15,000, covering lighting and climate automation. A mid-range 3-5 bed house with lighting, climate, audio, and security runs £15,000-£40,000. Premium whole-home installations start from £40,000. We provide detailed, itemised proposals after a free site survey — no hidden costs.
Can Loxone be fitted into my existing home?
Yes. The Miniserver Go Gen 2 uses Loxone Air wireless technology — up to 128 devices without running new cables. Nano modules fit behind your existing switches. Touch Pure Air panels run on battery. A typical 3-bed retrofit takes 3-5 days with minimal disruption to your daily life.
What happens if my internet goes down?
Everything keeps working. The Miniserver processes all automation locally, so your lights, climate, blinds, audio, and security continue as normal. You only need internet for remote access via the Loxone App when you're away from home.
How is Loxone different from Alexa or Google Home?
Alexa and Google Home are voice-controlled remote controls — you tell them what to do. Loxone is true automation — your home makes decisions based on who's present, time of day, weather, and room conditions. Loxone also processes everything locally (no cloud), has no subscriptions, and doesn't collect or sell your data.
How does Loxone compare to Control4 or Crestron?
Control4 and Crestron are primarily control systems — they wait for your commands. Loxone automates proactively, handling up to 50,000 actions per year without you pressing anything. Loxone also processes everything locally with zero subscription fees, while Control4 and Crestron typically rely on cloud services and dealer maintenance contracts.
Do I need to replace all my switches?
No. For retrofits, Loxone Nano modules fit behind your existing switches — you keep your current faceplates while gaining smart dimming and automation. For new builds, we recommend Touch Pure panels which combine lighting, blinds, and music control with built-in climate sensors, replacing banks of switches with one elegant glass panel per room.
Are there any monthly costs after installation?
None. Loxone has zero monthly fees, zero cloud subscriptions, and zero premium tiers. Firmware updates are free forever. The only ongoing cost is optional annual maintenance visits, which we recommend but don't require.
Can I see a working Loxone system before committing?
Yes — and we strongly recommend it. Words don't do Loxone justice; you need to feel a room respond to you walking in. We arrange live demonstrations of working Loxone systems so you can experience the lighting transitions, climate response, and app control first-hand before making any decision. Book a demo through our contact page or call 020 8191 2479.
