Installation done properly
A dish with an obstructed sky view drops connection every few minutes — the single most common Starlink complaint, and entirely avoidable. We survey obstruction angles first, then mount on the ridge, wall, gable, or a ground pole for a genuinely clear field of view.

Integrated into real networking
The router in the Starlink box is fine for a caravan. For a home or business we put the dish into bypass mode and hand the connection to a UniFi gateway — so you get whole-property WiFi, VLANs, PoE cameras, and one dashboard, with Starlink as just another WAN.

CGNAT bypassed, remote access restored
Starlink gives you no public IP address. Browsing works; anything that needs to reach your network from outside does not — CCTV viewing, VPN, port forwarding, smart home remote access. Our encrypted tunnel to a static public IP endpoint we manage restores all of it.

Starlink installation, answered honestly
Is Starlink any good in the UK?
Yes — real-world UK speeds are typically 100-300 Mbps down with 25-50ms latency, which comfortably handles streaming, video calls, and CCTV. For rural properties beyond the fibre rollout it is usually the best option available, and for urban homes it makes an excellent backup line. The dish needs a clear view of the sky, which is exactly what our survey checks before anything is ordered.
What is CGNAT and why does it matter with Starlink?
Carrier-Grade NAT means Starlink does not give your connection its own public IP address — you share one with many other customers. You will not notice while browsing, but it silently breaks anything that needs to reach your network from outside: CCTV remote viewing, VPN servers, port forwarding, some smart home remote access, and remote desktop. Most installers either do not know this or cannot fix it. We bypass it as part of the installation.
How do you bypass Starlink's CGNAT?
We build a secure encrypted tunnel from your router to a static public IP endpoint that we manage. Your network behaves exactly as if it had its own public IP — port forwarding, VPN, CCTV and smart home remote access all work normally — without paying for Starlink's business Public IP tier. It is configured once, monitored by us, and survives reboots and dish firmware updates.
Can Starlink work with UniFi networking?
Yes, and this is how we install it: the Starlink router goes into bypass mode and a UniFi Cloud Gateway takes over routing, WiFi, VLANs, and security. You get whole-property coverage, proper device management, and one dashboard — with Starlink as just another WAN connection, alone or alongside your existing broadband.
Can Starlink be a backup to my existing broadband?
This is one of the most common installations we do. The UniFi gateway watches your primary line and switches to Starlink automatically within seconds of a failure — your alarm signalling, CCTV, smart home, and WiFi stay online, and it switches back when the line recovers. For homes that depend on their security and automation systems, a second path to the internet is cheap insurance.
Will my CCTV and smart home work over Starlink?
With a standard Starlink installation, remote viewing and remote access often break because of CGNAT. With ours, they work: the tunnel gives your network a reachable public IP, so Hikvision CCTV, Ajax alarms, and Loxone remote access behave exactly as they would on a normal fibre line.
