Three practical reasons. It runs locally, so a light switch responds at once and keeps working when the broadband does not. There is nothing to subscribe to, whereas Control4 and Crestron dealers typically charge for the app, remote access or programming changes, and over ten years that adds up. And the configuration is yours: any certified partner can take over a Loxone house, while proprietary programming tends to tie you to the dealer who wrote it. Yes. Loxone comes in a wired version (Tree) and a wireless one (Air). For retrofits in period houses across Kensington, Chelsea and Hampstead we use Loxone Nano modules that fit behind the existing switches, so the original plates, cornices and panelling stay as they are. No walls come down.

Five to ten working days on site for a retrofit, including the programming session and handover. Occupied houses are done room by room so you can keep living there. New builds and full renovations are phased with the builder: first-fix cabling while the walls are open, then final fit and programming near completion. Cable routes are agreed on the drawings before anyone drills.
