Tell us about
the building
What it is, what you want it to do, and roughly when. An engineer reads every message — not a sales team — and you get a straight answer within one working day, even if the answer is “you don't need us for that”.
Send us the details
Building, what you want it to do, rough timing, postcode. Two or three sentences is plenty — we reply within one working day.

What people ask before they get in touch
The five questions that come up most in the first phone call, answered here so the call can be about your house instead.
What should I put in the message?
Three things get you a useful reply instead of a list of questions back: what the building is (a 3-bed semi in Pinner, a warehouse in Park Royal, a listed townhouse in W8), what you want it to do (heating that stops fighting itself, cameras that don't alert on foxes, a Loxone system somebody else installed that nobody maintains), and roughly when. A postcode helps too — half our jobs are within twenty minutes of Hatch End and we can usually be round faster than we can write the quote.
Do you actually come out for free, or is that a sales visit?
It is free and it is a survey, not a pitch. One engineer, about an hour, looking at the consumer unit, the switch wiring, the router position and the loft. You get a written summary either way. If your house needs an electrician before it needs us, we say so and leave — we would rather lose the job than fit automation onto wiring that will not carry it.
How long from first contact to a finished system?
Typically: reply within a working day, survey within a week, itemised quote a few days after that. Once you say yes, a retrofit into an occupied house runs five to ten working days on site. New builds and renovations are phased with your builder — first-fix cabling while the walls are open, programming and handover near the end. The dates go in the quote so nobody is guessing.
I already have a smart home. Will you take it over?
If it is Loxone, yes — the configuration lives in the Miniserver in your house, so any certified partner can pick it up, and we do this regularly for homes whose original installer has disappeared. If it is another system, be honest with us about which one and we will tell you straight whether it is worth rescuing or replacing. Send us the make, a photo of the cabinet, and a sentence about what is wrong.
Can I just call?
Yes. 020 8191 2479, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Outside those hours the form and email are picked up the next morning. Existing clients with a fault should use support@technoactive.co.uk or the client portal — it goes straight to the engineer who knows your system rather than through the enquiries inbox.
Phone, email or a visit
Quick question, call. Plans, photos or a spec to look at, email. Not sure what the building can take — book the survey and we'll come and look.
Call the office
You get an engineer, not a call centre. Good for “can this be done” and “roughly what does it cost” — both usually answerable in five minutes.

Architect's drawings, a photo of the consumer unit, an existing spec from another installer — anything we should read before we speak.

Usually the same afternoon. A Friday evening message gets a Monday reply.
Survey to quote
About a week
Survey booked within a few days; itemised quote a few days after the visit.
The survey is free.
The advice is honest.
We have been fitting Loxone, Ajax, Hikvision and UniFi into London homes and small commercial buildings since 2014. If your project is a good fit we will say so, and if it is not we will tell you what to do instead.
